About Me

Just a full-time parent with a slight Disney obsession*, a toddler, and a fridge full of cheese.  Oh, and lots of opinions on things.

I started this blog as a way to share my personal reviews of things I have tried or my interest in things I have seen for sale.  Because let's be honest, doing all that stuff on Facebook doesn't stick around very long.

Okay, it was originally about the cheese.  Stop laughing, I mean it!  Who can remember which cheeses they've tried and whether they were awesome or abject failure?  At $4-$8 for your average hunk of the good stuff in the store, you don't want to make mistakes too often.  So the original idea for Goonie Reviews was born as a way to keep track of cheese.  Then I expanded on the notion of reviewing other cool things, like toys for my kiddo, or the latest cool stuff they're selling at Disneyland, because, well, I was doing it anyway on my personal Facebook, and blogs posts tend to stick around longer.

Why the Amazon links all the time?  Well, it's often the easiest way to give my readers access to the products I'm talking about.  And since I was linking to the site constantly anyway, I went ahead and made them affiliate links.  Whee.  Or to put it more officially, "Goonie Reviews is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.com"  There, wasn't that fun?  Hey, it beats banner ads.

( *- okay, it's a little more than slight.  Like I'm at Disneyland every couple of weeks and my house is full of Disney merch.  But it's fine, I can stop any time I want... really!  I just um... don't want to.  Yeah.)

Wow, so far 5 paragraphs in and you still don't know much about me other than cheese, Mickey, and parenthood.  Aren't you glad you stuck with me for the long haul?  Read that paragraph, my friend!  Read like the wind!  Oh well, I suppose I should reward your interest with some more personal tidbits, shouldn't I?  Fine, I also like tea.

Cheerio!
